With the league expansion, the schedule will have many changes from previous seasons.
The Kansas City Collegiate Baseball League (KCCBL) will kick off its third season in 2026 with exciting growth, expanding from 12 to 14 teams. Founded in 2024, the premier summer wood-bat league features collegiate players and top incoming freshmen from the Kansas City area, divided into Kansas and Missouri divisions. Precision Baseball KC won the inaugural title in 2024, followed by Mac N Seitz Baseball Club in 2025.
The two new teams are Competitive Edge and Impact Athletes KC, both joining the Missouri division. Division shifts include YBC and Engaged moving to Kansas, and Mac N Seitz switching to Missouri.
To accommodate the extra teams, the league will run seven double-headers per day instead of six. Early-season games will all be at Homefield Baseball Complex in Kansas City, Kansas. Creekside Ballpark in Parkville, Missouri, won’t host games until June 9 because its six fields cannot fit the full 14-team slate at once.
The season opens May 25 with the annual PBR League Showcase at Homefield, where players perform in front of scouts and get professionally recorded.
Most regular-season days will follow the standard all-day format, but several dates will use a day/night split: three double-headers at 11 a.m. and four more starting at 6 p.m. The first split day is still being finalized.
On June 23, games will split between the two venues for the first time this season: four teams (eight total games) at Homefield and three teams (six games) at Creekside, all starting at 11 a.m.
Each team will play a 32-game schedule that concludes July 14. The All-Star Game follows on July 15, with playoffs beginning the week of July 20.
